This week, we are talking about growing into the new creation that we are called to be in Christ.  This is an ideal time to talk about growing. Many home gardens have tomatoes, potatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and  more almost visibly growing.  Families with children are telling stories of their latest adventures and creative inventions they’ve built in the longer playtime available in the summer.  At the same time – how are we growing in our faith? What does your ideal “renewal” place look like? Does it feature silence? Uplifting music? Being energized by others? Sometimes the place we think will renew us does the opposite and becomes draining – a family trip that becomes filled with tension, a community of faith marred by divisions.
