If you are in downtown Morgan Hill during the daytime, you may hear the sound of bells coming from our bell tower.  The bell that you can see near the top of the bell tower was purchased in 1895, two years after the founding of the church.  It is tolled at the beginning of the worship services, and to mark special events such as weddings and parades.  However, the tunes that you hear are from our carillon.

This carillon system features computer-controlled playing of digitally-recorded carillon bells, through an amplifier and speakers that are in the bell tower.  We have a library of about 200 songs, of which a selection is played during the week.  Specially-themed music may be selected for events like weddings and holidays.

Our carillon system is made by Lakewood Audio-Video, and was installed on February 3, 2022.  It replaced an analog (tape-based) system that was installed decades earlier and was no longer operational.
